Expression of Interest for Cert IV Fitness (SIS40221)

In collaboration with Fit Education, Binnacle Training hosts a 4-day workshop for Binnacle-partnered schools and teachers. This course aims to help teachers new to VET and Binnacle courses get started and complete the necessary qualifications to deliver.

Course Preference Options:

1. Cert IV Fitness (SIS40221) Including: Cert III Fitness (SIS30321) and Cert II Sport (SIS30122). 4-day course with RPL Requirements. Cost: $1995.

The four-day workshop is designed to equip teachers with Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness qualifications to deliver Binnacle Training's Sport, Fitness, and recreation courses. It enables teachers who meet the pre-course requirements and complete all necessary on-course assessments to leave the workshop with their qualifications ready to deliver!

To qualify for this option teachers must hold a Secondary Teaching degree with a HPE Major or Minor. Multiple years as a Secondary HPE teacher. Exercise Science degree or other Exercise related degree.

2. Cert IV Fitness (SIS40221) only. Cost $900

To qualify for this option teachers must hold and provide a 'current' certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315 or SIS30321).

3. Additional Pre-course Day + $400

A precourse day is also available for any teachers who do not hold a Secondary Teaching degree with a HPE Major or Minor. Multiple years as a Secondary HPE teacher. Exercise Science degree or other Exercise related degree. E.g. Primary Teaching degree or a Secondary Teaching degree with no HPE Major or Minor. Only been a HPE teacher for 1-2 years.

This is an expression of interest only. These courses also requrie formal applications and RPL evidence captured by Fit Education prior to final confirmation.

Expression of Interests closes on 1st May 2026 - Courses are run based on receiveing sufficient numbers.
